Friendship Game with Mrs. E

Today Mrs. E came during Morning Meeting to play a game where the children threw a ball to each other after making eye contact and calling a friends name.  We did it again to see if we could remember who we threw to the first time and then the next time, Mrs. E used her watch to see to see how long it would take to throw to everyone.  We also talked about how to be a good friend.  The children talked about playing this game on the playground at recess too.  Lots of fun!

3D Shapes

Today during Math we experimented with mini marshmallows and tooth picks to see if we could make some 3D shapes that we are learning about.

We will be experimenting more next week during Math centers.  So much fun!!

Classroom Wish List Update

The Bubble Workshop

We became scientists during the bubble workshop as we observed and experimented making bubbles with a variety of different tools.  We observed how some bubbles would pop when you poked it with something dry and how they might not pop if the tool we used was wet.  Ask your children to tell you all about the Bubble Workshop.  It was very exciting!!

Solid Shape Hunt

We have been exploring solid shapes and comparing with flat shapes.  We went on a shape hunt around the school and tallied how many different solid shapes we could find.  Ask your child to name the following shapes and go on a solid shape hunt at home.

Yoga with Mrs. E

Mrs Edelstein, our school psychologist, asked the whole school if they would like to learn Yoga.  Our class had so much fun!

Snowman Magic Book from me...................

I guess there was a mix-up with some of the books I gave the children.  If the Snowman Magic book had another child's name in it, please send to school so we can switch them.
