How to draw a Turkey

We worked on becoming better illustrators as we drew step by step turkeys today.  At first the children thought it would be too hard to draw a turkey like this one, but when we went step by step they were able to.

Amazing!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Disguise a Turkey

We took a special trip to the Library today to do a project with Mrs. Klipfel.  We listened to the story Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano.  We then did a special project to help disguise a turkey.  Please click on the link below to see how we disguised 2 different turkeys and the stories our class wrote.

A special thank you to Mrs. Klipfel!!  So much fun!!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Look for a special "padlet" to come over the weekend for your child to write about their Thanksgiving.  We will share with our class on Monday.  Thank you so much for sending in the Cornucopia's.  The Children have been thrilled to share.

Stuffed Animal Day

Our stuffed animals joined us for most of our activities yesterday.

Veteran's Day Assembly

Our Class learned a special song to sing to our Veterans and were practicing while making cards.  Thank you to Miss Swanson, our wonderful Music Teacher.  Such a moving song!

We have some special Veteran's at Steward School.  Mrs. Monbleau (Reading Specialist) spoke about being in the Air Force and Mrs. Rhuda (School Nurse) spoke about being in the Navy at our Veteran's Day Assembly.

Luca and Mia's Grandfather's came to our Assembly today.  Thank you both for your service to our Country.  Many in our class have family members who have served our Country.  Happy Veteran's Day to all of you.  We can't Thank You enough for your service.

Build A Bear Chair Stem Challenge

The challenge today was to build a chair for a small stuffed animal using only materials provided.
4 pieces of paper
6 " of masking tape
(we may have used a little bit more tape)

Great Team Work!!
It is always fun to walk around the whole school to see how others built their "chairs".
