Zipline Stem Challenge

Our First Stem Challenge was a lot of fun today. The children had to work in small groups to come up with ideas and build a zipline for "Zippy" to go across.  It was a little tricky, but with perserverence some were able to make it work.  We left them out so the children can tweak in the morning if they would like.

Click on the link below to learn more about the challenge.

We walked around the K/1 and 2/3 wing to see how the other classes made their ziplines.

Bus Evacuation Today

We had a bus evacuation practice this morning and walked down to Windsor Lane where the buses were there to pick us up and drive us back to school.  We also practiced going out the back of the bus in case of an emergency.
Everyone did a great job!!

Thanks so much!!

Dr. Seuss Read-a-thon Kick-off Assembly

Miss Swanson and Mr. Dienstmanm wrote a special song to sing.

Our Guest Reader  today was Amanda Guerino who is Mrs. Essex County.  She told us a lot about getting ready for the Fair and she read the story "I can Read with My Eyes Shut!" by Dr. Seuss.

Thank you so much for reading to our class and for the new Dr. Seuss books you gave to us.  We read the other one today too!!
